This PoE+ USB charging adapter brings power to compatible tablets over Cat5, Cat6 or Cat7 cabling up to 328ft (100m). The SimpliDock adapter delivers up to 20W when paired with a suitable PoE+ power source and USB-C charging cable, making it useful for keeping a docked tablet charged across a long cable run.

USB-A and USB-C outputs accommodate different charging connections, with USB-C required for fast iPad charging. The adapter supplies power only and does not pass Ethernet data to the tablet.

Use an IEEE 802.3at or IEEE 802.3bt PoE+ source rated for at least 30W; standard IEEE 802.3af switches are not compatible. The package contains one adapter. The charging cable and PoE+ power supply are sold separately. Check local building and electrical codes before installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this adapter provide an Ethernet connection to my tablet?

No. This PoE+ USB charging adapter supplies power only and does not pass Ethernet data to the tablet.

Can I use this adapter with a standard IEEE 802.3af PoE switch?

No. This adapter requires an IEEE 802.3at or IEEE 802.3bt PoE+ source with at least 30W output. Standard IEEE 802.3af switches are not compatible.

How far can the charging power travel?

This adapter supports cable runs up to 328ft (100m) using standard Cat5, Cat6 or Cat7 cabling.

Which output should I use for fast iPad charging?

Use the adapter's USB-C output for fast iPad charging, together with a suitable USB-C charging cable and compatible PoE+ power source. Charging power is up to 20W.

Does the adapter include everything needed for installation?

No. The package includes one adapter; the charging cable and PoE+ power supply are sold separately. You will also need suitable category cabling.

Can a PoE+ switch power several of these adapters?

Yes. A suitable third-party PoE+ switch can power multiple adapters, but its total power budget must support the installation. Allow for each adapter to draw up to 24W.
